Although the "call to action" was exagerated in its facts. In concept Pres. Carter was correct to call for a new energy policy in 1974. As has every President since - Democrat and Republican.
And every Congress since then Democrat and Republican has failed to act. Preferring to blame others(each other, oil companies, speculators, car companies, big business, etc.), rather than to discharge their responsibility and provide resolution to the US energy issues.
Perhaps the solution for the American people lies elsewhere and not with the Democrats or the Republicans.
If we don't get a good candidate this time around. I'm not voting for the lesser of two evils or a wacky third party candidate in protest......I'm voting for None of the Above or NOTA!!
A Congress composed of "None" has got to be better than what we have now.
