Sonoran officials slam sanctions law in Tucson visit

This is beyond irony:
At a news conference, the legislators said Sonora - Arizona's southern neighbor, made up of mostly small towns - cannot handle the demand for housing, jobs and schools it will face as illegal Mexican workers here return to their hometowns without jobs or money. Read More.

Amazing isn't it?!

As a resident of AZ, can tell you that the Law is working to reduce employment of people who are not legally (under current and past laws) entitled to work in the US.

Some of those who are now not so easily able to get these jobs illegally are returning to Mexico, some are moving to other states, especially NM.

I only wish that our US Congress would have enacted legislation to establish temporary workers visas as suggested some time ago. Without their action, States will have to, like AZ, take matters into their own hands.
